  • 2022 David J. Landon Scholarship
    The purpose of this scholarship is to enable young welders to develop and refine their abilities through education and to aid them in their efforts to accomplish extraordinary things.
  • 2022 John Deere Scholarship
    The John Deere Scholarship will be awarded to one Midwest US student, and one diverse Midwest US student in a Weld Engineering or Weld Engineering Technology program.
  • 2022 Pat Cody Memorial St. Louis Section Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to students in the AWS St. Louis Section who are pursuing degrees or certificates in welding or welding-related programs.
  • Anne Cooper Memorial Scholarship
    The Anne Cooper Memorial Scholarship is available to a graduating senior who demonstrates great involvement in extra curricular activities in their school and community while continuing to perform at high level in the classroom.
  • AWS Iowa Section Scholarship #1
    The purpose of this scholarship is to enable young welders to develop and refine their abilities through education.

  • Charles F. Burg – Iowa Section Scholarship
    This scholarship will be awarded to students residing in the AWS Iowa Section and are pursuing welding programs.
  • Darlene F. Bestenlehner Dallas Center-Grimes Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to high school seniors or previous graduates of a school in Dallas Center-Grimes School District who plan to attend full-time an accredited two-year college (with intentions of pursing a four-year degree) or a four-year college, university or technical college located in the United States.
  • Dean Carlson Honorary Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to students who are planning to enroll or are enrolled at an accredited, two or four year, not-for-profit institution Iowa State as full time students and have demonstrated good leadership skills and academic achievement.
  • Donald and Shirley Hastings Scholarship
    The Donald and Shirley Hastings Scholarship will be awarded to a college undergraduate student pursuing a minimum four-year bachelors degree in welding engineering (WE) or welding engineering technology (WET); however, priority will be given to welding engineering (WE) students.
  • Garner Kimbrell – St. Louis Section Scholarship
    The scholarship is sponsored by the St. Louis Section to honor Garner Kimbrell.
  • Green, James G. & Mavis Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to Incoming freshman at Peru State College who are graduates of Auburn or Johnson-Brock first preference; also consideration of southeast Nebraska and any surrounding areas in Iowa, Kansas and Missouri and planning to major in business administration.
  • Hil Bax Scholarship
    The scholarship is sponsored by the St. Louis Section to honor Hil Bax. It will be awarded to students pursuing a degree or certificate in a **welding or welding-related program**.
  • Iowa Hospital Education and Research Foundation (IHERF) Scholarship
    The ultimate goal of this program is to fill Iowa health care positions that currently have a notable number of openings by offering significant financial support to students seeking health care education. In exchange for that financial support, each award recipient must commit to working one year in an Iowa hospital for each year of scholarship award.
  • Jack Hyler Memorial Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to Iowa graduating high school seniors who are planning to enroll at an accredited, two or four year, not-for-profit institution within the US as full time students and have demonstrated good leadership skills and academic achievement.
  • James B. Morris Scholarship
    To provide assistance, motivation and internship opportunities for minority students pursuing post-secondary and graduate degrees.
  • Karl Fogleman – District 16 Scholarship
    This scholarship will be awarded to a student from **AWS District 6** who are pursuing careers in welding or welding related courses.
  • Kay B. Coin Nursing Student Scholarship
    This scholarship reflects Mrs. Coin’s volunteerism and commitment to nursing education and recognizes student academic performance, future potential, community participation and career aspirations.
  • Leo H. Grether Memorial Scholarship
    This scholarship is available for graduating high school senior enrolling in college as a vocal music education major.
  • Lineworker Scholarship
    Consumers Energy annually awards a Lineworker Scholarship to assist a student pursuing a career in the power industry. Applicants must have applied and been accepted in the Lineworker/Powerline program at an approved Midwest college of their choice. This scholarship is limited to Iowa residents. Preference will be given to Consumers Energy members.
  • Monroe County Health Care Foundation Scholarship
    The Monroe County Health Care Foundation will be awarding scholarships to one or more high school seniors who reside in Monroe County Iowa. This scholarship has been designed to assist graduating seniors who desire to pursue a post-secondary education in a state-accredited institution which provides training in a health-related field.
  • Monty Rodgers – Nebraska Section Scholarship
    This scholarship is intended to assist an individual from Section 81 to pursue a career in welding. It may be used at an institution of choice towards a welding certificate or degree.
  • Morlan Scholarship
    The scholarship will award an Iowa high school senior, from a city or community of fewer than 10,000, enrolling in a two-year or four-year journalism program at an Iowa institution of higher learning or a student already enrolled in an Iowa institution of higher learning.
  • MS Music Booster College Scholarship
    This scholarship is aware to a graduating senior who has participated in band/choir for 4 years at the high school level who is planning to attend a 2 or 4-year college.
  • North Central Region 9 Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to students who are planning to enroll or are enrolled in a two or four-year college/university within the North Central Region (Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan) and majoring in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial engineering or industrial technology.
  • Rex Stacey Memorial Scholarship
    This scholarship is available to AWS Section 81 students who are pursuing welding education.
  • Tip Top Tux Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are planning to enroll at an accredited, two or four year, not-for-profit institution within the US as full time students.
  • Tom Arnold Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to students who are planning to enroll or are enrolled at Indian Hills Community College as full time students and have demonstrated good leadership skills and academic achievement.
  • Virginia Bannister Pearsall Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to students who are planning to enroll or are enrolled at an accredited, two or four year, not-for-profit institution within the US as full time students and seeks a liberal arts degree.
